John opposes the deification of Domitian(A.D.81-96).

 

Domitian is the 11th emperor of Rome's third dynasty (B.C. 31-A.D. 329) and the mastermind behind the first persecution(A.D.64-97).

 

In A.D. 95, John is exiled to the island of Patmos in Greece.

 

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, he records the upcoming tribulation, the second coming of Christ, and the millennial kingdom.

 

The seven-year Great Tribulation is a symbol of controversy and debate.

 

Especially, the number 144,000 inserted between the sixth and seventh seals has various interpretations(Revelation7:1-8).

 

After the seventh trumpet, the 144,000 are mentioned again(Revelation14:1).

 

Who are the ones passing through the Great Tribulation?

 

There are various interpretations, divided into majority and minority views.

 

The majority view is based on the New Testament.

 

They claim that the chosen ones are Gentiles and Jews who will obtain righteousness anew.

 

The minority view is based on the Old Testament.

 

They interpret that the chosen ones are faithful Jews who will endure the tribulation.

 

They will be selected from the 12 tribes of Israel, with 12,000 from each tribe.

 

The tribe of Dan, the son of Jacob, is excluded due to idol worship, and the Manasseh tribe, one of Joseph's sons, is included.

 

Other interpretations based on specific doctrines also abound.

 

So, who are the 144,000?

 

I imagine the 144,000 through Eastern studies.

 

144,000 is the self-natured number in Eastern studies.

 

144 individuals with self-nature(6) reveal the foundation (6) in all directions (4) (6x4x6=144).

 

They are followed by 10 highly spiritual disciples (144x10=1,440).

 

Ten disciples each are appointed, resulting in a total of 14,400 (1,440 x 10).

 

Each of them also has 10 workers who have reached a significant spiritual level (14,400x10=144,000).

 

The three mouths口口口 represent the source of the body's vitality, the spirit, and the essence.

 

The rain雨 represents the bright ears of truth.

 

The 144,000 are people who have awakened to the true nature of morality.

 

They view the world through the mindset of benevolence, righteousness, propriety, and wisdom.

 

The shining spirits of the 144,000 illuminate the world.

요한은 도미티아누스(A.D.81-96)의 신격화에 맞선다.

 

도미티아누스는 로마3기(B.C.31-A.D.329)의 11대 황제로 1차 박해기(A.D.64-97)의 장본인이다.

 

A.D.95년 요한은 그리스의 밧모 섬에 유배된다.

7년의 대환난은 묵시의 상징이면서 논란의 중심이다.

대환난을 통과할 이들은 누구란 말인가?

 

다수설과 소수설로 나뉜다.

 

다수설은 신약에 근거한다.

 

새롭게 칭의를 얻을 이방인과 유대인이라는 주장이다.

 

소수설은 구약에 기반한다.

 

굳건한 믿음을 견지할 유대인이라는 해석이다.

 

이스라엘의 12지파에서 각각 12,000명씩 선택을 받는다.

 

야곱의 아들 단 지파는 우상숭배로 빠지고 요셉의 아들 므낫세 지파가 포함된다.

 

특정 교리를 따르는 기타의 해석들도 난무한다.

 

그렇다면 144,000명은 누구인가?

 

동양학으로 144,000을 상상한다.

 

144,000은 동양학에서 자성수自性數이다.

 

144명의 자성自性(6)이 사방(4)에 근본(6)을 드러낸다(6×4×6=144).

 

영격이 높은 10명의 제자가 따른다(144×10=1,440).

 

10명씩의 제자를 둔다(1,440×10=14,400).

 

각각 10명의 일꾼 또한 상당한 영적靈的 수준에 이른다(14,400×10=144,000).

 

영靈을 파자破字하면 제사장巫으로 자성自性의 소리口口口에 귀雨를 기울이라는 뜻이다.

 

입구 셋口口口은 몸의 근원인 정기신精氣神이고 비 우雨는 진리의 단비에 밝은 귀를 상징한다.

 

144,000명은 참나인 도덕률 본성本性을 깨친 사람四覽들이다.

 

사람四覽은 인의예지仁義禮智의 마음으로 세상을 본다.

 

밝게 빛나는 144,000의 영靈들이 세상을 밝힌다.

 

"A great sign was seen in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun(우리의 自畵像), and the moon under her feet, and her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child. She cried out in pain, laboring to give birth. Another sign was seen in heaven.
